A SSLP, or Screenshot Let's Play, is an LP that is told through the use of screenshots, almost exclusively published on a forum or website based format. Turn-based games, strategy games, and other, slower types of games not reliant on video are typically well suited to this type of LP. The first LPs were SSLPs by definition, as they existed before the advent of streaming internet video. A SSLP may include video footage of cutscenes and other important video content in the game; however an SSLP that duplicates the playthrough both in screenshots AND in video is considered a hybrid LP.
