Off-Screen Play, often referred to as the act of "Off-Screening", is where the Let's Player plays through a certain portion of the game without recording their actions. The most common use of this is for grinding in RPGs or backtracking in adventure games, where leaving the footage in the video could easily bore the viewer especially if the player isn't able to produce interesting commentary on the fly when nothing new is going on in the game.
